A little history:
In the early 1930's, Herb Fette was at the forefront of large-scale sound reinforcement.
Today, outdoor concerts and drive-in movies are the norm, but back then they
were a novelty. Thanks to his familiarity with electronics, Herb created one
of the first truly mobile public address systems in Minnesota, allowing him
to provide sound reinforcement for large groups of people, mostly through outdoor
movies.
The tradition of electronic excellence was passed down to his son, Richard,
through the Fette Electronics
store, established in 1962 and still located in its original storefront in Faribault,
MN. In 1984, Roger, grandson of Herb, picked up the torch and has continued
the legacy of production services. While the technology has advanced leaps and
bounds since the thirties, the physics remain the same; Roger still owns some
of the original loudspeaker elements Herb used.
