Historic Downtown Faribault building
The Fette building is on the National Register of
Historic Places built in 1882 and has been
the home for Fette Electronics since 1962. Inside you will find along
with new modern electronics, the antiques radios of yester year dating
back to the 30's. Fettes got it start in 1926 by Herb Fette Radio
Repair in Meriden and then Owatonna Minnesota. He was the inventor of the electric fencer and
a builder of
the first radio station in southern MN. Herb also did auto repair, free out door
movies, and feed mill service. In 1962 Richard Fette opened
Fette Electronics in Faribault and is retired but still working
everyday. His wife Joyce is the bookkeeper along with sales and also
there everyday. His sons Roger and David Fette are set to take
over the Business. Sherman Johnson also works for Fette's
since the 60's. Daughter Kim and her Husband Mike work there
also. Its A 3rd generation business in a constant changing
field..
